Our lawyers have many years experience as senior lawyers in City based law firms. We have the experience and legal knowledge to concentrate on the points that really matter to clients while making sure that all the legal angles are covered in a proportionate way.

In today’s market, transactions are more difficult to conclude and contracts are scrutinised more closely. We really believe that now, more than ever, clients need more from a lawyer than processing documents or reiterating the law.

As a small specialist legal practice, we offer highly competitive fees, giving excellent value for money for the expertise and service provided. Essentially, we provide the expertise and experience of a senior partner at the rates of a local law firm. We work hard to make ourselves accessible to all clients, individual, public sector and businesses.

We are flexible about fees and offer arrangements such as fixed fees, fee capping or daily rates. We appreciate that control of the legal budget is important for all clients and set up transparent billing arrangements.

We are part of a new wave of law firms in England. These are small niche practices started by lawyers with backgrounds in large commercial firms who concentrate on their specialist areas of law and have a strong network of contacts with similar specialists in other fields. We also work with law firms in other countries and have relationships with a number of overseas firms.

We act for many overseas clients particularly in South Africa, Germany and Denmark and can deal in German and French.

The English legal system is a complex mix of legislation, case law and policy with an ever increasing degree of regulation. We take legal advice one step further by putting it into the commercial context for clients. We appreciate that clients have different cultural backgrounds and expectations and help our clients to anticipate and handle the commercial, legal and practical issues that may arise. For example, the service we have provided to an overseas public broadcaster unfamiliar with UK law and practices has been very different to that required by an experienced property company or a couple dealing with the planning system in order to build their house.
